Did y'all see this?
A 1998 report linking the MMR vaccine to autism has been retracted! That is very interesting...I think it just goes to show that you need to do a lot of research about everything that is reported, and not immediately take someone or some thing's word. That's not to say the MMR vaccine isn't still connected with autism, but it seems to me that there needs to be a lot more in-depth research and reports published in order to know for sure.
Meanwhile, it seems that the Measles and Mumps have made a come-back with regular out-breaks due to the masses abandoning the vaccine.
Personally, we plan to give our child the vaccine; however, we plan to do so after the age of two, which is supposedly when the chances for autism drastically decrease. I think it's important for the baby to have the vaccine, but why not wait a little bit and do it when they're older - especially if it cuts down on the chances of autism...Better safe than sorry!
