- We are still exclusively breastfeeding. I feed her at home, and I pump at work so the daycare can feed her from the Breastflow bottles. I try to go out and feed her at lunch once or twice a week.
o When she takes a bottle at daycare – she takes 4-6 ounces.
- She can sit in her Bumbo, although she’s still a little wobbly so we always have a hand nearby. She likes it because she can look around, which is one of her favorite things to do!
- She has giggled out loud twice! She seems to be smiling almost all the time, which is amazing!
- She has rolled over from her tummy to back a few times, which I’m impressed with because she really doesn’t like tummy-time that much so she doesn’t get a whole lot of it!
- She’s still eating every 3 hours during the day “on demand,” but at night, she’ll sleep about 7 hours every night now.
- She’s starting to “talk” a lot – Lots of gabbing, like Mommy!
- She is really noisy when making a diaper – lots of grunting and tooting!
- Loves to kick the rattle on her play mat.
- She still puts her hand/thumb to mouth to self-soothe on occasion, but rarely needs to.
- She is adding more and more facial expressions on a daily basis – she is SO expressive!
- She scoots (on her back and probably not on purpose!)
- She LOVES her baths, but she HATES the cold when she has to get out!
- She’s getting more and more attentive every day. When we read her a book, she stares at it very intently, and she is starting to stare at the TV.
- She only takes a about 3 naps a day now.
- She’s a real wiggle worm! If she is awake, her legs and arms are moving, and the movements are getting more deliberate and less spastic.
- On tummy time, she can pull herself up onto her forearms and hold her head up for a little bit at a time.
- She follows me with her eyes when I put her down and walk away. When I come back into sight, she starts following me again.
- She doesn’t grab things yet, but if you place something in her hand (like a rattle), she’ll hold onto it and shake it around.
- She still has a very tight grip and likes to hold onto our fingers.
- She’ll play by herself on her activity mat or in her bouncer for quite awhile.
- She always wakes up in a very good mood!
- She hardly every cries – In fact, the teacher next door to her room at day care told me last Friday that she’s never actually heard Danicka cry!
- She’s already taking her binky quite a bit less. Usually only if she’s getting hungry or if she’s getting tired and fighting going to sleep – we’ll give it to her and she’s out in a minute (as long as she doesn't spit it out!)
- She follows objects with her eyes.
- She’s out of NB clothes and diapers. She’s into size 1 diapers and 3 month clothes.
- She has started staring at her hands very intently, like she’s figuring out they are a part of her body!
- She LOVES it when Daddy whistles to her. She stares at his mouth very intently, and has started mimick his mouth to make it look like she’s whistling.
- She also likes Peek-a-Boo! That always gets a smile out of her.
- She sticks out her tongue and blows bubbles a lot! She’s also a big drooler!
- She rolls onto her side from her back, although, not on purpose, but it’s still exciting!
